We’re Bach and better than ever!
WRR 101 is still the same all-classical station you know and love, but we’ve made some much-needed upgrades to our website to improve your experience.
Our new design offers cleaner, more user-friendly navigation that works just as well on your phone or tablet as it does on your computer. Whether you want to check out newly-published content or stream us from anywhere in the world, it’s all in the same place, every time.
The home page will feature a specially-curated feed of stories from WRR and KERA staff and content partners, local contributors and NPR Music, giving you insight into what’s happening in classical music and the arts and culture world at large. And the Listen link in the nav bar takes you to podcasts, archives of regular WRR programs and more.
And speaking of streaming, our new and improved live player can be controlled at the bottom of every page and allows you to keep the music going non-stop – it won’t cut out every time you move to another page on the site.
The musical work currently playing will always be listed in the live stream player bar and in the playlist area of the homepage, with a link to the archive of full playlists. Our On Air section will also make it easier for you to find the schedule of recurring programs you enjoy listening to every single day of the week, and click to learn more about each host or program.
Of course, our mission to preserve access to classical arts in North Texas remains deep-rooted in everything we do at WRR. With our new Events page, you can stay up to date on the latest concert performances scheduled all over the North Texas area, thanks to Go See DFW, a partnership between our sister station KERA and The Dallas Morning News.
